Few days ago, when I was already late and I refused to leave without my necklace I realised it's like an amulet to me. I myself am actually fond of amulets, "an object that protects a person from trouble".
What is your amulet without what you wont leave the house, if you have one? (amulet, not house).

Mine is a necklase. Ankh - Egyptian hieroglyphic character that read "eternal life". It is also known as the key of life. It is believed that ankh gives strenght and helps to live a long life. When ruler of Egypt was buried, they had ankh on both of their hands, hands crossed over chest. That gave them long afterlife and happiness.
My mom brought it to me from Egypt and my sister has one also. I guess that is another reason why it is so dear to me.

So. What is your amulet?

Well, my amulet would have to be my mobile phones... I'm never without them. Ever.

hmm well i didnt think i had one, but recently i have had to take my chain off at nightime because when jasmine wakes up for her feed she pulls on it, so i leave it off until morning, sometimes i forget to put it back on though and spend alot of the day ver conscious that i am not wearing it.
My mum gave it to me when i was 11 just after my dad left us so it kind of represents a transition in my life i guess :hmm:
Well before i had Jasmine i never took it off so it feels very strange not wearing it.

I guess that counts
