Hi!
I`m Ann-Christine from Germany. I know Marya since she was by the band "Vanilla Ninja", I think her first solo song "Could you" was great. Normaly I don`t like Metal. But when Marya do it, I like it.

(sorry for my bad english, but I am not sooo good in english)

Keblou

In UK schools you can learn German. I learnt it for about half a year, my school had a rota system so introduce us to the different lanuages we could take for GCSE.

The schools here do teach other languages Nicola, but not like you're all taught Englishs. They teach it a few hrs a week or something stupid like that. I don;t know anyone who is English that can speak another language like you all can English. Then again we don't need to when you;re all so good at it :-p

I was in Sweden recently with a German friend. We went to buy a ticket for a Meat Loaf show and we went to the box office and hey presto My German friend and the Swedish lady behind the ticket boot both spoke to each other in English :-D I was amazed, they didn't understand why I was though as apparantely that's what happens lol. Makes it very easy for us. So thank you all of you :-) I'll repay you by correcting you on your mistakes lol. I'm teacher to many of my foriegn friends lol. Daniel included :-) and Dominic who is on here :lmao:

I know a few people who can speak other languages really well but they've either had parents who speak other languages or they've really wanted to learn and have a natural affinity with languages.
I think we're taught languages a little to late. The best time to learn is when you're young. My children will be learning sign language and I'll send them round to my friends mum to learn Italian and French lol.

they teach sign language at playgroups and stuff now, casey is getting very good, i'm dead chuffed with her. Also alot of kids programmes now have some kind of signing to.
Not to sure about languages though, dont think that kinda stuff starts till pre-school type time.

But then again we went on holiday in April and in St Lucia some guy was asking me if I was married! I hastliy got back into the taxi after that lol

Hi Ann,

I'm also a fan of Marya's from the very beginning, from her earliest VN times, when she was still Maarja. I only liked VN because of her - she made VN a great band - that's why they were terrible after she left...
Marya has an unbelievable voice, don't you agree? She has that "something special" about it. It's so great, I can listen to her songs over and over and over and not get bored!

Anyway, better do some work. Love to hear from you!

They say it's good to teach children before they start saying their first words. It apparently makes it easier for them to learn languages. It's also helpful in later life, I wish I knew more signs. I started learning sign language at secondary school because their was a deaf unit but then I left so have been teaching myself. I'm better at finger spelling.

So, "just a bit different" eh? "Maarja" was missing, that changed everything for me...

No, jokes aside, the rest of VN to me were just decoration, they weren't musicians with all their hearts like Marya was.

By the way, you being German, how do you like the band I use as a nickname, "bloodflowerz"?
