just wanted to mention that i'll be at the show tonite and it would be great to see some of you forum members there too.

i'll be at the merchandise stand after marya's show and also sign stuff (in case anybody is interested in my autographs,hahahaha...)

i just got back home from the long weekend with the show in cologne and that means you have to wait for more details until later on when i wake up again cause i wanna go to bed now,it's already past midnite here and i'm tired,check out again soon...

ok finally i found time to write a review about the show in cologne.

for everybody who's not familiar with this place called e-werk,right across the street is another bigger hall called palladium and what i didn't knew was that at the same night there they had a silbermond concert,also a famous german (teenie-)rockband with a female singer,even more famous as lafee. so when i drove through that street to find a parking lot on both sides of the street they had hundreds of fans waiting in lines and i thought "wait,so many people wait in line for the lafee show,i can't believe it,will they all fit in?" but as i later found out one side of the street were the silbermond fans,nevertheless the line for the marya roxx/lafee show was already 100 meter standing on the public street,so i was afraid i couldn't get in in time cause i arrived at about 6pm but luckily it went quite fast so i entered the e-werk at about 6.15pm and right in the front of the lobby i met an old friend of mine who is also a kiss-fan,wondering what he was doing there he told me he was there cause his daughter likes lafee,actually after the show he himself was more into marya :-)

but let's start with the beginning,actually first i went to the merchandise stand to say hi to our beloved deb,we talked for a while about the latest news and then the show began,so i walked into the hall and it was crowded,not sold out but like deb said there were more people in cologne than anywhere else on tour before. marya started like always,just for the people who couldn't go to a show here's the set-list with marya's songs (she plays the same songs each night):

payback time is the perfect opener,during the song you could feel that the people needed some time to get warmed up so they just listened to it without big action,the first reaction was the big applause after the first song but marya didn't leave them much time cause she turned right into time to run and here the first fans started to react a little more,then after time to run marya said hello to the audience and she started clapping her hands and now the whole audience joined in and for about 1 minute there were more than 1000 people joining marya and they all clapped their hands to the rhythm of the bassdrum and marya's own hands,it was great cause it seemed it doesn't end and marya really enjoyed that part too-actually who wouldn't?
the ice was broken (like we say in germany) and it seemed that from now on marya was accepted by the lafee fans too and from nothing going on until the last song the audience really supported marya quite well.
i personally was so fascinated again that i lost myself,there was no more time,it didn't feel like a long time but also not like a short time,it was like i was in marya-trance,somewhere on another planet. earth didn't existed anymore,just me and marya's performance and i was headbanging to some songs and waving my hands during blinded. blinded is always something special cause many people hold up their lighters and wave with it,actually most fans just waved their hands cause they probably didn't have a lighter but it gives a wonderful mood with this beautiful ballad and all the fans joined in this peaceful atmosphere.

somewhere inbetween marya also introduced the bandmembers and she talked a few words german too which i personally liked cause i think people always love it when their favorite star talks a little in their own language :-)

i also really liked marya's song selection,she really picked out the best songs for her live performance,the only thing that wasn't perfect was the sound that night,somehow it wasn't as powerful as it was in osnabrück a few days before,don't get me wrong,it wasn't bad,just not as good as the last concert i went to but the sound gets individually mixed for every performance and also the hall itself changes the sound each time so it's just a normal thing that one night the sound is better and at another show it's less good but once again it was good enough to rock the night away.

i also liked that they had a special platform in the back where wheelchair users could go on so they were able to see the shows too without too many heads in their sight.

after the show i went back to the merchabndise booth to meet deb again who took some photos during the show. we talked a little bit about the tour so far and some personal stuff and then marya joined us. i chatted with marya for a while,got some stuff signed for other fans and friends,i also bought some more cd's for other friends and of course we did another photo which you will be able to see whenever deb has some time to bring it online. later on the bandmembers joined us and i talked a little bit with the drummer-as a drummer myself i simply pay attention more to drummers than to the rest of the band. after that chat was over i talked again with marya and deb and inbetween checking out lafee's show too cause there was a door open between the merchandise stand and the hall so you could see lafee from there. already during lafees show some fans showed up to get marya's autograph but when lafee finished the real work started for marya,for almost one hour she gave autographs and took pictures and some of the lafee fans bought also marya merchandise,the funniest conversation was between a young lafee fan and her father,she asked her dad to buy her marya's new album and her dad answered "no i'll buy it for me and it will be mine then" haha
once again i talked with some parents and again it seemed they all liked marya better than lafee,parents are probably more experienced as for music and its quality and at least here i must agree: "kids - listen to your parents" LOL

while marya signed stuff i was still talking with renee (her manager),who by the way is a really nice guy too,and he told me a good news,but actually i can't remember if that was a secret or not,so i'll ask him again in 2 days in bremen and if i'm allowed to talk about this here in the forum,well then you will be happy to hear about it too :-)))

so finally the night ended at around 10pm,as the last fan i said goodbye to marya,renee and deb and promised them to be back at the show in bremen which is already in 2 days,hooray

Just a qucik mention for the new band (for the rest of German tour) ... this was their first show and they rocked :rock: I love Paul, Danny and John more than words can say but I have to say the new band (whos' names I have trouble saying let alone spelling lol, so I'll refrain from typing them for now :hehe: ) are awesome !! and they are also very cool, nice people who I have taken to instantly :-D If you're reading this you 3 you all rock :headbang: even if you refuse to speak to me in German 24/7 :rofl: Lots of pictures to come of the new German band

right deb,
it's probably hard to remember every single show after a complete tour,i only remember when i did 15 shows on one doro-tour in the end i could only remember "that city had the best sound" ,"this city had the wildest audience" and "that one was sold out" etc. but you can't remember all the details because they are all so similar specially when every night the same set gets played by the same people.

but in the end the most important thing is just that every show rocked and the people are satisfied. most people are only doing one show anyway and the interesting thing of doing a whole tour is you see the ups and downs of individual members,not everybody is on the same constant level for weeks and that's human,they aren't machines and it's obvious that the sound in some halls is not as good as in others or sometimes the audience is so fantastic that they get some more encores,etc.

well i'm not exactly sure how many people were in cologne but the homepage of the e-werk says that 2000 people fit in and i think about 75% of the hall was full

Ah, ok, so then Munich and Cologne were about the same. In Munich it may have looked like less to Deb due to the majority of the fans being in the seated area (which was huge) and the standing area not being full until Lafee showed up. I think Munich was actually sold out...or around 99% capacity.

I think the problem with the amount of pics is because of the amount of fans there lol. If that makes sense. It's hard to get pics of all with so many. It happened at a lot of the shows.
