I'm quite sure most of you know the contest.
And as in most countries, they put about 10 songs to contest and the winner of that can go to sing under that country flag in Eurovision.

Songs that want to represent Estonia have revealed. And guess what - one song is written by Marya! =)

by the way here in germany this year the german artist who will represent germany gets chosen by a jury in advance so the german people can't vote for anybody,the reason is because germany was so bad in the last few years they don't wanna risk another bad result caused by public voting :shock:

Thanks for letting us know about this Mel :cool: Very cool ... Even though I generally hate the Eurovision. just out of interest do other countries feel the same about the contest or is it liked in your countries?

In fact, In estonia we had for years two voting. 1 - the jury favourite, 2 - the one that estonians liked. To eurovision went the song jury liked. some years ago we started sending the song that people liked to Eurovision. Im not sure, but as much as i know we have the old system again - if you wanna go to Eurovision, the jury must like you.

Yeah interesting news,hope that the song will represent Estonia:-)

In 2006 here were many problems with jury's votes(when Serbia was "Serbia and Montenegro")cause jury from Montenegro were voting just for the bands/singers from Montenegro,and cause of this Serbia separated from Montenegro:-D...and we didnt have represent on Eurosong that year...but next year we won it lol :-D

i think in the past like 20-30 years ago the german public still cared about it,but today it's more like that tv channel who shows the contest tries to make a big thing out of it and also millions watch it but in general the public isn't that much interested in it anymore,maybe cause germany always had bad results during the past years,we even had the last position in the year where vanilla ninja took part of it for switzerland

once upon a time lol eurovision was nice, when every country sang in its own national language... since everybody's singing in english it doesn't make any sense to me anymore lol

I used to watch Eurovision Song contest, but the scoring has all become way too political now. You know that countries will vote depending on what they think of a country, their relationship with that country, rather than about the song. Just my opinion, if countries don't like another countries foreign policy is one of many reasons i think.

i think then it's more like a usual singing contest...nothing to do with nationalities or so lol sure, in english everybody understands, but for me it's more special to hear all the diffrent tongues :-)

Yes that's true. 2005 because then there was VN and 2007 because there were lots of songs which i liked :)
