Do You Know Marion Raven? she is a great pop rock artist is a Norwegian singer-songwriter she has also do a duet with meat loaf great song and video:-)

I like Marion. I first found out about her through Meat Loaf's version of "It's All Coming Back To Me Now." I have both of her albums, and I'm looking forward to her new one.

I loooooooooooooooooove Marion Raven! I see her more as a Rock/Alternative artist though, than "Pop-Rock". When's the new album due, badforgood?

at the kiss tour last summer meet and greets cost 850 euro here in germany,allover europe kiss had a few hundred fans who did that. the largest amount of fans who paid for that were in paris (80) and the smallest amount of people was just 1 at the only show they did in the baltic states,it wasn't estonia,i think lithuaia or latvia. sure if you are there alone than it's great and you might get a few autographs and have some more time for questions but imagine there are 80 people,they usually did it before the show and it took 30-40 minutes so in general you only have maybe one minute with the band and for 850 euro i could rather do a couple of shows for that money and sooner or later you meet them at the hotel and get autographs for free
sure marya wouldn't take that much money (she might even do it for free for her best fans) but there wouldn't be much more time for each of us i think,it's just not possible for each fan to hang out wih her for much more than a minute unless she's really doing something special or there are only a handful of persons

Very true, Frankie, I pretty much made the same experiences. I think with Marya it'll (for the moment) be different, because we're not talking the same kind of numbers as with KISS...
Meat Loaf charged £200 this tour for a meet and greet... 50+ at some one or two at a few shows lol.... I begrudged every penny and only did it once to get the seat as there wasnt front row available anywhere else for that.
I do think Marya would be different as well.. She is far more in touch with her fans than some of these huge artists. I really hope she hangs on to that :cool:

Marion used to be in M2M :-) looks good but IMO hasnt got the X Factor

eh :hmm: It's a well known saying in the Uk Blood, long before the show came about and i think thats what Deb is referring to lol
I liked Marion's accoustic set she did on tour with Meat, so much that i went and got her album, personally i didnt think it was a very strong album but there were a couple of really standoout songs on there which i cant think of the names right now maybe Deb could help here lol...which were the ones she did in her set deb?? I particuarly liked the one she sang after talking bout her boyfriend crashing the car.

I'm actually not crazy bout It's all coming back to me, it's ok but i have to admit to being a little bored with it by the end of the tour, not saying thats down to Marion, its just one of those songs for me lol but then every now and then i play it loads in the car so go figure :hehe:
Marion is cool though :cool:

I'm not Deb, but I think it was "Crawl." I didn't get to see her live, but I have the audio for her acoustic set in Ontario - it was released for free download via Artist Direct.

I have to admit i was really impressed with her accoustic set, my partner had been to a show without me before i got to see her and wanted to go into the venue after her set as he had already seen her and didnt like her much but i wanted to see her and now i'm glad i did :-)

I have both of Marion's albums and I like her all right. I think her acoustic performances were actually stronger than the album versions. The main reason her second album was a bit of a let down for me was because half of it was songs from the first album, when she had originally said that it was going to be mostly new songs with only a few old ones thrown in. But I like her sound and I'm looking forward to her new album.

Can't wait - didn't know that there's a new album (or maybe I'm just hopelessly forgetful...).
i get caught out alot lol i follow so many artists i dont always remember the latest news :hehe: it is alot easier now though with the internet than the old days of just wandering into the record store each week and physically looking :-p
