so guys, i've been a huge fan of Evanescence since 2002.
Today i've found the Live DVD "Anywhere But Home" in the store near to our house, so i'Ve bought it of course!
so i want to ask you all, if you even know evanescence and whether you find the band also amazing as me.

Yes, I like Evanescence. I have all three of their albums and they rock. :rock: I think Amy Lee is a really solid vocalist with a unique sound.

I quite like Evanescence, the voice is very particular. Sad that other Gothic bands which are even better - such as "the Bloodflowerz" or "Birthday Massacre" don't have similar success.

you're right, Chibi from The Birthday Masacre has a beautiful voice, too.
Especialle when you listen to "Red Stars", but the success is still waiting...

Amy Lee has a admirable voice in the quiet songs like "Hello", and in the faster songs like "All that i'm living for".

I can't describe is, but i think theres something in her voice that makes Evanescence different from orther Gothic bands...

Evanescence is great band!! I loved them a lot before... I don't listen to gothic rock anymore, but I still like their few songs :s_tongue2:

yes, that's right, but in my opinion the music is "partly to calm in the higher, however, failed to make their vote a bit and then starts a little too schrebeln (eg Damaged Promised) and that certain something missing from me because ..." (?) (teilweise zu ruhig, in den höheren stellen hingegen versagt ihre stimmt so ein bisschen und fängt an ein wenig zu schrebeln (z.b. Damaged Promised) und das gewisse etwas fehlt mir da irgentwie...)

when you listen to the Nightwish songs with Tarja like "Whishmaster" or "Ever Dream" you here there nothing, just a pretty good voice.
so i like Bloodflowerz, too
but it isn't one of my favorites...

A matter of opinion, I guess. I for like precisely what you criticise in the Bloodflowerz. It's that really special kind of voice which isn't clean. It gives the Bloodflowerz that necessary "dirtyness". Incidentally, that's also what I love about Marya Roxx! :-)

yes, just a matter of opinion.
I mostly like band with a very high sound, like the singers voice or the high sounds in the background, because the feeling absolutely awesome, when you listen to a 8.1 Dolby Digital amplifier that gives you the sonds clearer than he really is through 5000 Watt Amplifier (endstufe) with a 2000 Watt subwoofer for the bass.

Rumors say, that she's working on a new album, but theres no confirmation from the official site, but i hope it's true =)

I find that with some bands it's unfortunately a little like that. But then you take the cd out again and are surprised at how good it is... :-)

Until you get bored again. And you hide the CD. So you could find it in the future. To do exactly the same all over again.

I think its with most things in our life - we need some change time after time. What can be worse than routine? (I used to love it. Until my life turned up side down for a long time. And after that... no matter what I do, i cant live when i have routine and everything is Ok. weird. And that was offtopic now.)

They will release new album next year!
In a news posting to the Evanescence website during June 2009, Amy Lee wrote that the band was in the process of writing new material for a new album proposed for release in 2010. She stated that the music would be an evolution of previous works and be "better, stronger, and more interesting".
