View Full Version : What was the last movie you saw
ok we have a movie thread but this one is slightly different to keep the convo fresh
what was the last movie you saw and would you recommend it
Yesterday m watched Inspector Gadget, i hated it, wouldnt reccommend and wouldnt offer to record it for anyone, imo one to be avoided by the plague. Jokes were unimaginative, story was way too daft for my liking and acting was pretty poor!!
well yesterday i saw a movie on tv...i dont know the name of the movie but it was a little scary!!!:hehe:then i saw the greek extreme make over!!
Birthday Girl with Nicole Kidman...it was on TV..
Nice thread Anji!!:-)

funny that Jas, i didnt expect to like it either but loved it :-D we've got the dvd but i have yet to find time to watch the alternate ending
Well I just went to Germany by coach - 28 hours in total so we did a bit of a movie marathon which included:
Shall we dance?
Grease
St Trinian's
Step Up 2
School of Rock
Pirates of the Caribbean 2 (couldn't be bothered to watch it so I read my book - required too much brain power!)
27 Dresses - not much of a storyline and quite predictable...
There may have been more but thats all I can remember!
They were all easy to watch and pick up if you fell asleep and I loved the theme of dancing/singing which was in most of them.

Who are the actors, badforgood? What's the general plot of the movie?
badforgood
23-11-2008, 18:04
It's an older movie, from the early '70s. I didn't recognize any of the actors. It's about a recovering mental patient named Jessica who moves to small town to recuperate and starts to believe that the town is haunted.
i saw the saw 1 it was too scary...i will never see horror movies alone...i couldnt sleep!
"Kuhu Pogenevad Hinged" with Lennaa Kuurmaa cool movie :-)

I just watched "The Ring Finger", which features the new (drop-dead-gorgeous) Bond girl Olga Kurylenko. Not for everyone, rather a quiet kind of movie, but keeps you thibnking for a long time after. Hard to categorize - Drama would be the closest fit, I think.
Watched WALL.E last night, some funny bits but i was a bit dissapointed to be honest :-(

Sorry bloodflowerz, there's always so many posts here that I have trouble keeping up. I only just saw this. I have to say, I'm a much bigger fan of the book than I am of the movie. Some of the acting was well done, but the general consenus of the group that I went to see it with was that several of the roles were badly cast. And of course, they had to cut a lot out/change things up to make the movie work. The people who hadn't read the book enjoyed the movie better, because they didn't have the same expecations. I do recommend it checking it out, though.
Last movie I watched: Smoky Mountain Christams starring Dolly Parton
3.10 to Yuma, was canny, but spoilt by the ending!

'The Bucket List' ('Das Beste kommt zum Schluss'), not an action film, but a sensitive movie with two fantastic principal performers, Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman! :-D

Have see Inception. Its a good movie but in my option you must think to mutch. And it goes very long I think so 2h 20min or so... Thats long for a movie. But the action is great :-D and the story is good too...
