Well, I wanted to open this Thread, because Nena is one of my favourite singer in Germany.
And now some interested people could talking about her and her music....

what are you thinking about her ? and have you ever seen her ?

Lol Angela, if you don't watch out, you'll have to start a "German lessons" thread! :-)
But to get to your actual point: I like Nena, but I really didn't like her last album (except for only one song: Helden, the German version of "Heroes" by David Bowie, which, to my utter amazement, actually worked!). I think Nena should, if she really wants her comeback to work, write a new album, with say 12-14 truly great new songs which mean something. Otherwise I'm afraid this last album will be her end...

I would love for Nena to write a truly great new album, but like you said: her last album was written "for herself" or rather even "dedicated" to herself - that's something an artist shouldn't do and it's why it did very poorly in sales. A children's album as a follow-up... Hm... I'm afraid that it might totally alienate her old fans. Like I said: unless she writes a new album with truly great new (adult) songs, I'm afraid her last album "Cover Me" will be Nena's end... :-(

Don't worry, Angela. I'm just concerned at how easily we give up basic freedoms of lifestyle. Now we will have the same situation like in Ireland, where those who want to go out and smoke have to go outside. This means that pubs will have to create large outside spaces, because 70-80% of their customers smoke. This is really not fair!

Glad to hear the truth, this no-smoking witchhunt is simply an unbelievable grand-scale act of mobbing. The majority against the minority. Imagine, if the smokers were in the majority and wanted to force (by law) all public places to be smoker-friendly... :-)
