Meeting Marya

After a bit of prompting from Mike (bloodflowerz) I'm going to start a thread about meeting Marya. It'd be great for others who have met her to tell us their stories as well :cool:

I'm not usually one for going into too much detail about these things, but I'll give it a go :-)

Me and Heather was lucky enough to meet Marya last yr in London, when she was over for the Classic Rock Awards with Paul Crook. She was very gorgeous, very friendly and had time for everyone.

The next time we got to meet her was of course The Joint, in LA :cool:

Due to me and Heather seriously under estimating 'time' and many other things lol, we didn't have as much time before the show as we'd have liked :hehe: :oops: (And we thought we could have gone via Vegas that day as well Heather :rofl:) Anyway to cut a very long story short we finally got there with about 5 mins to spare :hehe: But not before indecency in public toilets, police and car-jackers ;-)

We just about had time for a quick chat with everyone and was introduced to the very lovely Joey Vera for the first time. Oh and thankfully I had time for a few very well deserved Southern Comforts while poor Heather stuck to soft drinks as she was the designated driver after the show lol, I'd done my bit getting from the airport to the venue :hehe: Marya sat and chatted with us right up until she went on stage, which was very cool :cool: She is totally down to earth and we spoke about very normal things. Like kids lol. Me and Marya even sang a bit of 'wonderpets' lol. Something both of our children love :-D

We had lots of pictures (which I'm sure I've already posted elsewhere many times lol) before the show with Marya and the rest of the band / crew. Who BTW if I haven't told you all before are totally amazing :cool: :hehe: And they are after all the reason I'm now a fan of Marya :cool: and in turn friends with all of you here :-D

After the show we got to talk to Marya more and once again she was very friendly and down to earth. All to soon it was time to leave. By now we'd been up for getting on 28hrs and I have no idea how either of us still look human in the pictures lol. And the night still wasn't over, think we still carried on going for a good 4 more hrs lol.

The next time we met Marya was at the Key Club in LA. Another long and complicated story that I'll spare you all ;-) But once again she was amazingly friendly and down to earth. For the life of me I really can't remember if we actually got to speak to Marya before the show lol, Heathers memory may be slightly better than mine. But we did get to spend time with her after. Which is where we met NicoDior and his friend without realising it lol. I'm sure NicoDior can also tell you how wonderful Marya is in person :-) Once again we took lots of pictures which I'm sure you've all seen ;-)

My memories pretty rubbish at things like this so sorry if it's pretty vague :-) Hopefully Heather can add a bit more, just hopefully none of the embarrassing bits for me :-p or if she can, hopefully she cares enough about me to shut up lol. :hehe: And if you don't Heather, Denmark will be the last time I'm keeping you entertained ;-)

I think Renee would make a great model for the mens t shirts btw :-D I'm really not sure how much Renee likes to be mentioned and I hope he doesn't mind me saying this. But I have to say he truly is also a very great person, very friendly and very funny as i'm sure these pictures show. All in all they are all wonderful people and I truly hope many many more of you get the same chances me and Heather have been lucky enough to of had :cool:

Well put, Mellukas! We were really very fortunate and privileged to be able to meet the whole band - in my case I actually met "both" bands and got all autographs of both! :-)

it was my only tour so far where i met the whole band after each show and in addition i was always the last fan who left the hall each time :-D
