Now it's offical !!!

I'm definately going to the UK from 1 August until 30 October.

It was my dream to make language studies and I'm really looking forward to going to Wimbledon :-)

And who knows, maybe I'll meet Deb and Anji again..... :-)

this summer (in august) i'll visit england to do research at some cropcircles in the wiltshire area (around stonehenge) and once there i will visit deb and heather - and now maybe angela too ;-)

england 2010 tourdiary:


at first let me tell you my holidays were fantastic!!! full of nice people,beautiful places,great food and cool surprises


my friend deb picked my up from the airport and one of the highlights this day was the perfect dinner in a local restaurant. there's so much food for vegetarians in england i could hardly believe it,they even serve veggieburger at mcdonalds and in pubs,the food alone is a reason for me to come back one day :-)


deb's family is amazing too,absolutely nice and helpful people and she has the two cutest kids in the world!!!


then i went to the wiltshire area were i studied cropcircles,my bed & breakfast was located right in the center of cropcircle-country,it couldn't be better and another surprise my host was originally from germany and a cropcircle researcher too. and her place was also a meeting point for other researchers,i met people from japan,england,germany,switzerland,netherlands,asia and america and we also visited one of the most famous cropcircle researchers nearby.


i arrived there at 8pm and was already in my first formation at 9pm,the japanese guy who was a visitor too acted as my tourguide and so i easily found some of the formations and shops that i wanted to see. everything was perfect except that my stay was way too short,so i need to go there again next summer.


the leftsided traffic was ok,you need to concenteate on it but after just one day i had no more problem with it except of the gearstick on my left,that felt strange.

talking about the traffic,that's the only bad aspect overthere,the traffic was slow,many traffic jams and they have a speed limit on their highways,i always needed much more time than expected and the most extreme thing was when i went from london city back home to deb's home,we needed about 2 hours for just 50km and that late at nite during the week. traffic in london sucks and you need to pay 5 pounds an hour for parking lots and you also have to pay for using many sideroads. simply avoid london,that's a good advice,it's not really worth to waste time and money there.
oh i still need to mention at night they often close highways and roads completely,probably for construction or so,if you're not familiar with the area then you're fucked.


then i went to wales to meet heather,we visited some castles and one of the most beautiful landscapes i have ever seen: snowdonia,it looked like in a dream,if it would be warmer there i would love to move there. and also there my stay was way to short,i definitely need to go back there too.


back in london we did some sighseeing with angela,who we meet and also anji and her kids stopped by for lunch,we had lots of fun and it almost felt like a forum meeting with so many of us.


we had dinner at the famous hard rock cafe london (by the way the first of its kind) and we really felt like rockstars there (deb and angela know why,hehe) and last but not least we found the tardis,the highlight of my trip and only deb and me know the special surprise we had there :-)


and on my last day deb's family and myself visited the doctor who exhibition in cardiff,we had a blast,the trip took a long time but it was worth it.


so overall the trip was amazing and the people i met are wonderful and friendly,i have to go there again and not just once but many times. some advantages in comparison with my earlier trips to the usa are:

-the flight took only 65min instead of 12h to L.A.
-no jetlag problems
-the ticket is much cheaper
-you don't lose 2 days with travelling


so england,prepare yourself for another frankie trip :-)

my holidays in great britain

let me tell you what i learned while staying in the land of the union jack.
first of all the times of the white trash in the workhouses are over. the hadrianswall isn't necessary anymore cause the times of the danegeld are over too. therefore they have charity muggers and hedgerows in their country today. well with so many posh-people it ain't a surprise,seems the old boy network is still working.

all the lad and ladettes at the hen nights and stag nights seemed to have enough pounds for binge drinking and all these trophy wives, i tell you these guys have it all,they even entertain themselves with happy slapping,not my deal to be honest.

i visited my good old friend deb in the commuter belt,she keeps the dunkirk spirit high and for sure ain't a lollipop lady. she's a down to earth southener, living in a terraced house and she doesn't need a spin doctor or any off licences,we did it rockstar style my way,went to the HRC with my arm candy angela and forgot about the queuing :rofl::rofl:

as foodies we tasted the cream of the top without putting a penny into the tea kitty and instead of backbenchers we had the cutest kids on our back bench,hehe

besides that i also went to cymru and had a look at some english heritage places and some cropcircles,for sure much more interesting than trainspotting.

so to sum it up: the brits rock as long as you stay out of the congestion charging zones and the surrounding city :haha::haha::haha:
