That's a website run by young journalists, photographers etc. and we published an article about Marya Roxx now :-) It's german so far, I can translate it when I find more time, but if frankie or anyone else could do it, I would be also very pleased lol :-D

hard rock girl

typical for hard rock and heavy metal are tough and edgy vocals of men who are powerful and distinguished by loud screams. but there are also tough ladies in this scene who have at least the same power and at the same time their female voices also give a soft-feminine touch which is a special tease for the genre.

one newcomer in girl-metal calls herself marya roxx. the californian who came from estonia collected many experiences in her youth with different musicstyles und now found herself in the hard rock family. she convinces with an expressive voice, great lyrics and a fantastic sound which gets delivered by her fantastic bandmembers: paul crook on guitar (anthrax,meat loaf), drummers like john miceli (meat loaf,blue öyster cult) or brian tichy (foreigner) and bassist danny miranda (blue öyster cult,queen + paul rodgers) give their best live and also on her cd. on stage she is at least as convincing as in your stereo, you feel the emotions behind her songs and she passion she puts into each track.

it's not simple screaming, she has class and rocking vocal parts in each of her songs and also live she hits every note. she also writes wonderful rock ballads a la "nothing else matters", so for hardrock fans a must-have!

her debut album "payback time" got produced by kevin "caveman" shirley (iron maiden,led zeppelin,dream theater,etc.) and will soon be available, at her liveshows you can already buy it. you can listen to some of her songs on her webpage www.maryaroxx.com or on myspace www.myspace.com/maryaroxx and she also has a great forum http://forum.maryaroxx.com where you can get all news about marya, often directly from herelf. you can become an insider,a member of her street team or simply exchange ideas with other fans. so check it out & rock on!
