Marya Roxx promotion

Hey there everyone,

one thing that seems to me to be a bit of a problem regarding Marya Roxx's EP and her person in general: there is hardly any promotion for her here in Europe... :shock:

With all these predominantly european fans on this Forum, I thought I'd put this question out in the open: what can we as die-hard fans do to change this? What ways can we find to actively promote Maryas' fantastic music and talent? Any ideas?

Well i've mentioned it and sent links to everyone i know, but other than word of mouth i'm not really sure.

Maybe they are waiting for the Album to promote :headscratch: It's very rare EP's get much promotion :hmm:

there certainly seem to be enough sites dedicated to Marya, including the new .com, so just have to keep spreading the word i think :-)

A good question and one we're working on right now. Very soon we'll be adding a 'Marya Roxx Street team' to the site and will be asking all of Marya's fans to sign up and help out. Street teams (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Street_team) are an excellent way to get artists more widely known in many countries.

We'll keep you updated with any news on this as soon as we get any.

Thanks for your quick reply Anji - I think you know what my concern is. I think one way to promote Marya might also be to ALWAYS request a song by her whenever there is a radio station asking for the listeners to call and request a song. In my experience you have to be patient though...
One other thing: Marya's EP isn't in any store over here AT ALL!!!! :shock: Surely there must be a way to change this! OK, better do some work now... :embarrassed:

You're right it does take time, EP's dont feature much in stores over here thses days, the radio idea is another good idea if the station has it on their playlist, big stations could be lobbied to put it on their playlist too.

Yes, in general that's true. However, with big bands - like for example AC/DC, the EP gets MASSIVE, and I mean MASSIVE promotion. There is a little (but well stocked) cd shop here where I live. I will go and ask if they are interested in promoting the EP if I supply the actual EP, which I would have to buy here on Marya's website. Ok, now I REALLY have to get to work...soooooooooooooooooo behind!!! :shock:

Great question Mike and one i've been wondering for a long time now as well. A street team seems like a logical way to go :cool: I'd be more than willing to do my bit to promote Marya here. And I like the idea about getting Marya airtime on radio stations. There is already quite a few online radio stations that are playing Maryas music already, a good start would be to all email them and request her music :cool:

sounds like a really good idea...i only heard of Marya from Deb on "my space" and mlukfc and i am so glad i did....what a waste if so many more people did not get to hear of her,i shall definately be telling my friends about her....

Nice one Barb, unfortunatly it happens all too often that genuinly talented people dont get the breaks they deserve, i'm sure with the support Marya has this wont happen to her though :thumbsup:

hello there..i read all the posts and Admin has the greatest idea
i really find the steet teams amazing idea..well when i heard about marya that she is a solo singer the 1st thing i do was to tell everything,all i know to my friends..4 her..still talk about her..and my friends really like her..;-);-)

aaa i almost forgot...here we cant find her EP and her holle songs like shine it on and could u and myfriends dont have credits or others to buy..we usually take the cds from stores..the most popular in athens is the METROPOLIS and u can find anything there..she has a big voice.no female like her..
