OMG these are crazy prizes.....
Another airport maybe better :-) The twins didn't go to closest last time as it was expensive. Plus there maybe a show the day before or after, then you can do more and the airport may be closer, so better not to book flights yet in case :-)
Ani and we can coming or go back one day later or so thats no problem because I take holidays then... Then we can do more things lol :-) And Angela do you want to come with us?? xD

the cheapest flight from my hometown to manchester is about 250 euro and they fly over munich :surprised:
munich is exactly the opposite direction and probably as far away south as leeds is away north of me,if i would do that i could almost pick up the twins and angela :-D
well i thought i could come but its a sunday :-( would have to miss studio the next day as its too much of a drive home same night, would love to see you guys again :hugs:
i would love to come but Deb told me that wakefield isnt near to London so probably i wont! i would love to if the tour was near to London or in London! it will gonna be really expensive for me too! :(

I thought I would swing by and fill in a few blanks for you all. Marya Roxx's performance at Wakefield Rock Festival is an important one for us and we don't want anyone to miss it! :-)
Where is Wakefield?
Wakefield is in West Yorkshire, just a few miles away from Leeds. It is very accessible by public transport. There is Leeds/Bradford airport about fifteen miles away and Manchester airport just forty miles away.
How much are tickets?
Tickets range from just £22 to £35 depending upon how old you are and how long you want to come for.
Why is the gig so cheap?
This is a fundraising event for Wakefield Hospice; a charity that cares for the terminally ill. We want to make this a landmark event and ensure that thousands of people flock to Wakefield to be a part of something special and raise money for those in need.
Who else is on the bill?
Pitchshifter, InMe, Senser, Heaven's Basement, esOterica, Panic Cell, The Glitterati, Imicus, Die So Fluid... 30 bands in total and it's going to be so fantastic you really shouldn't miss it. Pitchshifter very rarely gig so this is your chance to see a historic band making history for Wakefield.

Gates are at 10:00. First act onstage at 11:00. Marya should be on at 12:10. InMe are headlining the Sunday and are scheduled to perform at 20:00 until 21:00.
As you can see it's an early finish to make it even easier for people to travel home :-)
12 is really early for Marya to be on. Lots who are coming wont be able to for that time slot. They all wanted to fly in the same day. That's a shame :-(

Thw whole festival is "very early". The ground is in a residential area and so we need to finish early. But this is also good because people can get back home after both days.
For those guys wanting to fly in, you could fly over the night before and get cheap accommodation on the Friday night. Click here for a link to several hotels very nearby:

the heath house in ossett offers a twin room for 49 pounds including breakfast :rofl:

Most of us were under the impression Marya was on early evening :-( The fans from overseas wont be able to make it for that time as there aren't flights for most of them that early :-(

We havent so early Flights and from Lucerne we must drive 1.30 hrs to the Airport but there arent trains so early :rant:
Maybe there will be solo shows the weekend before or after twins? that may be a better option for all of you who are gonna fly in, at least that way if It's an evening show you'll know you can make it :-D Plus Anji + M will also be able to make another as they can't get up that early as it's Caseys birthday :-(

Sorry for the delay in gettting this to you all, but as we're sure you can appreciate we had to get official confirmation of this before posting.
Here is an Official statement from Marya's Management about the Wakefield show. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused anyone:
Due to concerns over the promoter's inability to meet the agreed contracted terms, and issues with the organisation of Wakefield Rock Festival, Marya Roxx have no alternative but to cancel our planned appearance.
We sincerely apologise to our fans, old and new, who were planning to attend the event to support us. We are currently planning a return to the UK which we hope will take place in the near future. In the meantime, please contact the Wakefield Rock Festival organisers for a refund on your tickets.

We felt as though Marya required better service from us than we could offer her for this years event. Hopefully this year can be a success and then Marya can come back and perform higher up the bill and on better terms with us in 2011.
I'm glad you have posted here WTP and i too hope you can get Marya back next year keeping in mind she has many fans in europe who travel to the uk to see her.
Good luck with this years event though :-)
