Well i have no idea where to start lol, it has been a hectic few days and i think my brain is a few days behind me :devillaugh:
Well as ever when i fly out for a gig, i dont leave myself much time to do any sightseeing, i wish i was able to because Prague looks like a wonderful city.
After a very turbulent flight and bumpy ride in the taxi i was feeling slightly queasy by the time i got to the venue lol but the twins already being there were a lovely sight :-D so we passed some time outside taking in the local atmosphere :-)
There were three bands due on this night, one of them Marya (obviously lol), a uk band called Forever Never and Skindred (the headliners)
Marya was up first which was a bit of a shame because i later found out that alot of people didnt realise there were two support bands so didnt come so early.
Having said that, the hall was still very full, and i think almost everybody was bobbing their heads to the music, and each song got an increasingly loud applause as the set went on. Marya was simply awesome, she was on form and looking like she was loving it, cool hard sound, and the sound of the venue was great so we really heard the best of the band  I won't mention which songs were done so as not to spoil the surprise for those yet to go ;-) but anyone waiting to go to a show on this tour is in for an awesome treat!!
question was asked elsewhere about the band lineup, we had the same lineup as the uk tour Jim on drums, Scott on bass and Marya on vocals :-p but we didn't have Paul, there was a lovely guy instead by the name of Matt Dillon (hope i spelt it right ) very lovely guy who was obivously nervous for the first show but i thought he was great and there was a slightly different sound due to a change of lead guitar but i really loved this sound, it all sounded very fresh to me :-)
The other two bands were pretty cool too, i loved forever never's live sound although to be honest i couldnt see myself listening to their cd, but they rocked the crowd hard and did a great job, they were on right after Marya so they had a tough act to follow :-D then after a break Skindred came on, who although i wasnt crazy about the stuff i heard on their myspace page, completely changed my opinion, that place was jumping big time, their lead singer was nothing short of awesome, he completely commanded that crowd and i came away with a massive respect for his performing and vocal talents, very different sound but wow...awesome  it just shows that sometimes you need to see an artist live to truly see what they're about
Sooo i think that's as much as i can say without getting too boring lol, but it was a wonderful night, the only thing that spoiled the evening was the smoking inside the venue and the heat. Coming from the uk where the smoking ban has been in place for a few years, this was hard to deal with :-(
So i am finally home after delays to my flight and traffic on the way home due to football at the stadium, but now looking forward to next saturday when go to Paris to see Marya again :wings:
