Spam private messages

Some of our members have recieved spam pms from new users. Please do NOT click on any links contained in these spam emails and report any you recieve by using the report button on the pm. Thank you to those of you that have already reported those you have recieved to us.

i had 5 spams in the last 2 days but already reported the first 2 and the others already got banned

Thanks Admin, nice to see you're working hard at keeping on top of this, i had five from three different members and they'd all been banned by the time i read them :-)

Please everyone make sure you do NOT click on any of these pm-links - ever. I've received very similar one's privately from a Paypal fraudster and reported him to Paypal. Paypal has reported back to me saying that I would've installed very malicious spyware (phishing) if I had clicked on any links and these people would've immediately known all my passwords and could've started to buy things with my money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :shock::shock::shock:

I have made some substantial changes to the permissions regarding privates messages:
From now on, you cannot use the PM system unless you have made 5 (five) regular posts on the forum.
That should take care of the PM spammers, as they will not get past our other anti-spam-measures. We might lower the required post number after a while.

I need everyone of you to check wether your PM privileges have changed or not. If you have more than 5 regular forum posts and cannot use the PM system, please report this here. Thanks.

Also, I hopefully have removed the reminders of the private messages from everybody's inboxes. If you still find pm spam in your inbox, report here and I'll take care of that.
