The New Music Seminar and OurStage are teaming up to offer aspiring artists the opportunity of a lifetime which will help break your career into the music business. If you are in the Rock, Pop, or Urban genre enter by December 22 for the chance to expose your music and get mentored by some of the most influential and connected industry leaders of the new music business.
Prize Package Valued Over 25 Thousand Dollars!


Twenty artists (ten from each channel) will receive an A&R promotional package that entails having their EPK sent to A&R at labels throughout the U.S.
The New Music Seminar will narrow down their picks to 3 Finalists, who will receive mentoring, publicity and have their press kits critiqued by industry experts at the NMS (http://www.newmusicseminar.biz/theplayersLA.htm) in Los Angles on February 2nd 2010.
One Grand Prize Winner will be chosen to perform at the NMS After Party and will receive a consultancy package that will include insight from some of the smartest and most connected leaders of the new music business. It sucks to see so many not joining :-( The record industry is really hard to break if we don't all do our bit to help, Marya's going to find it harder and harder to do :xmas_sad:

I still can't work out how Marya moves up these charts. I have a feeling it's by playing the video and audio as well. So come on all, log on and get playing, favouritng etc :-)

Well done frankie :santa_thumb_up: None of us are totally sure how this works... what we have worked out is you need to become a fan of Marya... then favourite 21 audio and video... then comment on Marya's profile and both songs.. (audio and video) Then play both as many times as possible. The favouriting is a mystery... it's there but it doesn't show for most of us when we try and do it. Just hoping it does work lol... as far as voting goes... thats the tricky part. I;m hoping the plays help in them determining who gets higher to start with.. after that it's down to catching Marya when she's up against someone in the play offs... Not easy really :-(

There's 3 categories to try and win... check them all and just do what you can i guess :xmas_biggrin:

Marya finished 28th (http://www.ourstage.com/charts/18860-fan-favorites-in-nms-premium-channel-artists-on-the-verge-rock-and-pop) in the 'fan favourites' chart. So for those of you that did this, it did work.

I guess we can remedy it this month for the two monthly comps for song and video. But the main competition can't be fixed :xmas_sad: That was the big one and there's no second chances :xmas_sad:
