Frankie do you like Marya's version of Nothing Going on better than the original? IMO this is in the same league. Marya's tops it by far for me with both :santa_thumb_up: I'd never heard of Alternative before just as I hadn't Nothing Going On. Right now they are two of my fav songs by Marya :santa_cool: If I had heard these two original songs first I don't think i would have liked them :santa_dunno:

yes i like marya's version of nothing going on much better than the original. even like her version of time to run better than the original version but only a little bit here

If you listen to the original on a cd it's actually quite cool, especially if it's horrifically loud, as it was intended to be... I remember as a young boy being with my friends in an old car with a really powerful expensive stereo and listening to it so loudly that the car was jumping up and down! Everyone in the street was looking, that's how loud it was! Pretty cool, I must say. But Marya would've been even cooler! :cool:

Kostas, you can't form an opinion like this on a band which defined a whole genre of music just after seeing one bad video clip!

i agree with kostas and experienced it very often that one song can be enough to judge a band. maybe others can't but for me in general it works,i don't even need to listen to the whole song to know if i like it or not. sure there are exceptions (like always) but most of the time i know pretty fast if the band works for me or not.

well, badly recorded/sung or whatever this clip is. Marya's version still sounds so much different not just cos she sounds better, but from what my memory allows me to recall, she has changed it a fair bit, and comparing these i think alot better.

Not sure i'm experienced enough yet to mix a truly live recording yet lolol and it seems to me, Marya isn't short of very experienced professional help when it comes to sound :thumbsup:
