2009.11.22 Rock Of Ages Fest, London

Well, last night I got to meet up with Anji and Deb and afterwards went to see my first Marya show in the UK. It was freezing cold and there were two stages, one on the outside and one on the inside. We went to a really great band from Wales first on the outside before Marya's concert, unfortunately I didn't catch their name. Maybe Anji will remember.
Marya played inside, starting at around 9pm. The place was packed with mostly other musicians who had either played already or were going to play afterwards. It was great to see them enjoying Marya's show, which really REALLY rocked!!! I took some photos, but unfortunately this internet cafe computer doesn't accept SD cards. :-( As soon as I find one that does, I will post them. Due to the venue being small, Marya had no merchandise set up there. Looking forward to the next shows!!!

Another great show, the sound wasn't as good in the venue as the two previous nights, but that was due to there being so many bands on and off stage blah blah, although when I stood back from the front it sounded much better. First few pics I took came out better than the later ones due to lots of smoke. Looked very coolon stage but not on camera lol, plays havoc :-p

Was great finally meeting you blood :hugs: and yep the band from Wales were pretty cool imo, their name was Blind Ambition www.myspace.com/blindambitionwales

Marya was awesome once again, and impressed what i thought was a tough crowd (partly because as Blood says, they were mostly bands and their supporters) but she had a good majority nodding their heads to the music.
The sound did suck and didnt really show of Marya's vocals properly, but Deb is right it is probably down to the nature of the gig, no time for sound check and stuff.

Off to see marya again tomorrow, lokng forward to seeing Deb and bloodflowerz again and of course looking forward to Marya's show :cool:

not really sure frankie, I'm guessing people came and went throughout the day for this one, plus more than one stage. Think it was supposed to have been a good few though :-D
