I love Vanilla Ninja! I saw them one time on an autograph lesson! It was great! I talked to Katrin. All in all, i like all songs from them. But my favourite is the ´´Traces of sadness´´ album. Hope they will make some time new songs.

I am a big Vanilla Ninja Fan. Of course, that is where I know Marya from. After such a difficult career, they really represent strength.
I am with those that think Marya should perform a V/N song at her concerts. Probably more effective in Estonia. Tough Enough would be the obvious choice. But a metal version of Sugar & Honey or Guitar and Blue Jeans would be unforgettable. :cool: Just a throw-back to your past, y'know.

VN were great when the then "Maarja" was part of the group - but ever since she left they've gone downhill I think. Sad, but true. The fantastic voice of Marya is missing - she gave VN a power it now really lacks...

VANILLA NINJA!!! I know them since 2004 and became fan at 2005. Till now it's my favorite music group and their music style is perfect for me. If I never had discovered Vanilla Ninja now I wouldn't know Marya Roxx and harder music. Also i think VN music changed my life a little bit. The girls are sexy, lead vocal has outstanding voice, they're friendly and funny :) Also all fans of VN are great.
P.S. - I see some are spamming to much. As i know in many forums is rule - no double posting xD As i'm admin of 1 forum i know that :D it is www.vnboard.xz.lt

Yes, "Tough Enough" was great, mainly because the then "Maarja Kivi" was in the band. Her voice is what made that song have such power and awesome punch! So now I think the "future" you speak of is in the now re-named "Marya Roxx's" solo career! She has what it takes to make it to the top, where she belongs! Long live Marya! :hearts:

I see what you're saying, from an artist standpoint. I think Lenna is tremendous talent, but pursuing acting is not the best thing for the band.
The music industry is like all entertainment. It's really about what you're doing NOW, not what you did.

I too have been casually learning Estonian. I started reading about the geography and history. I just got a translation book so I can learn the language better.
I blame the Ninja's and the kind Estonians I've met for my interest. Tallin is #1 on my vacation list.

Not only that - she was by far the best artist in the band - VN never recovered after she left! :-)
well maybe they did recovered...but they just sound a bit different than when Marya was in the band...Marya's voice gived the power to the band...but I still like their songs and they are still great!!!But yes Marya was the best one in the band that is for sure...

well, i don't really know, i read it long time ago in a german vanilla ninja forum.
marya put about rumours about vanilla ninja, and abused them, espeacially lenna. some peaople in the german forum said marya had called her a bitch and such thinks....but i don't know if all thats true, i just read it..
and marya done that in public in estonia, maybe in a magazine or so..
well i cant believe marya do this...she is a good person and i love her very much...to be honest things like that we can see to a lot girls groups..better she left the group...she is way too better!!!!!!!!!
I would love to hear from Marya the reason why she has lefted the band...I dont believe in that what was writen in some magazines or anywhere else...(maybe we can ask her)

i dont believe that that are rumors marya is a really nice person but if she had said her things does not matter all of people or all of us have sometimes disagreements with our friends and sometimes we argue with them so...!!!!!i dont believe also that rumors cause i have seen some photos i think at 2005 or 2006 i dont know who is marya with lenna and talking and laughing they seem t have fun so i dont believe that rumors are fake i think!!!

Well , I like Vanilla Ninja more then Marya Roxx.
About their albums.. I like mostly Love Is War, because it's the most personal album and half of songs where written by Lenna or/and Piret. And I have read someones post that VN have lost their quality when Maarja left but I don't think so. Song Dangerzone for me is the best song from all VN songs.
Next..
VN are now not touring much because they haven't signed any contracts with labels and so on. But at least there is new single Crashing through the doors. Also for more then years they haven't possibility to make concerts with name Vanilla Ninja because there was a scandal with Bros Music. Bros Music head David Brandes claimed all rights to Vanilla Ninja name as it 'was' his own project. Later Vanilla Ninja name was bought by law company Oulson (...) which tried to sell name Vanilla Ninja through ebay. Don't you think it's serious reason why girls haven't any new albums and concerts? Only at the end of last year 2007 everything started going better. Now they're searching for new label and new album is planned to be released in 2009 for sure if VN will find new label. Last label of them was EMI which released love is war album. As we know later VN broke down contract because that company didn't wanted to release new single and what is more EMI Germany now is almost bancrupted.
Marya Roxx also had very long brake and first was delayed so many times and there still isn't any album. I remember how long we needed to wait for first single Could You. It was delayed many times..

well music business means music + business and the word business is longer than music.
there's so much shit going on in the business that normal musicfans don't know. actually two sides work against each other,the artists versus the record companies and managers. these business people just want to make as much money as possible while the artists usually just care about their music.
vanilla ninja went through some Trouble with a capital T,but hopefully it even makes them stronger

well the business part is really important too but most artists don't care about it.
so sometimes the rockstars are already famous but don't make a lot of money cause they get fucked by the business people

but i always stuck with my fav bands,KISS was my first band i loved and i still love them today!!!

I'm glad that i gave you info which you didn't knew : And it's just a small problems which they had I tried to write less but i couldn't :D If you want to read about VN history(biography) the i suggest to go to love-ninjas.com and to category Vanilla Ninja. Also there is a lot of info in wikipedia, but some facts are omited. Maybe David Brandes is deleting some facts from wikipedia, who knows :D

the first estonian cd was a bit funny,it's ok but not as good as the other 3 cd's which are all my favorites.

I love that DVD, because on these DVD Marya has been a singer of the group. Her voice is so great in the rocking songs as well as in the quiet songs from VN!
Also i love that DVD, because the part the sing "Pie Jiesu".
Theres also a DD 5.1 sond quality avaible :-p
But scince Marya left VN i thing the sond of the band isn't the same as before. I still like songs from them but i'm no longer such a big fan of them.
Do anyone of you know these DVD? :-D

dvd's are the best for listening music, just because there sound quality with DD 5.1 or even dts :hehe::headbang:
I have the DVD too, although I still haven't played it. It's a different signal than we have in the U.S.
I do have an audio capture of all the songs in the concert. Makes for great listening on the stereo. There's seems to be lots of backing tracks on this show but Marya still comes across great live.

Willis, you just have to decode your dvd-player. If you're going to watch it on your pc, I recommend a great programme which you can download from "dvdidle.com", this programme sorts out all your code problems straight away and it's quite cheap. Cheers!

Yes I had the same problem! It is not more avaible. In estonia in the moment as well.
I asked a friend who went to estonia, if she would bye the album for me there. But they didnt have it anymore in estonia.
So I have for now only a copy of it from an other good friend;-)
(The Album is more Pop Music but in my opinion it is a great album. You can hear Lenna and Maarja on that album)
Well but on youtube you can find them!:-)

True, Frankie. On the other hand it must be said that AC/DC are now with the original line-up again. No hope of that being the case with VN, I think...
bloodflowerz,there's always hope of a reunion with the original line up,e.g. i always said KISS would do a reunion,all other kissfans never believed in it and after 17 years it happened and it was their most successful tour,actually when they did it it was even the most successfultour of that year :devildance:
but even if there's no reunion of the original VN line up they can come back without any problems and who knows,maybe even more successful-not that i predict that,but it's possible :-D

i found that news on www.love-ninjas.com they said that lenna plans to have a solo album and kati works in a goverment why are not together??? also kostas they say that they maybe have an new album they have not even write lyricks well some lyrics as piret said i want to hope that they wont break or have broke up!! and i will tell you my opinion when marya left the band vn destroyed they took triinu and she left so they left three ad they release the album love is war in 2006 and we have 2009! there arent vanilla ninja anymore...all the spirit was marya in the band ! !!! but good that marya left the band...!!! she is now solo and much better than vn!

If you watch the live video of VN it's really obvious, how much Marya carried VN... She was their heart.

Yeah, they had a great style. After they becamse famous in 2003, half of the girls had haircut like Piert Järvis and had chains..
