Hey!
Here's a competition to celebrate the first year of my Official Forum! It's one year today that it's been online! I got this idea from my street team leaders who have been thinking up idea's for cool competitions for you all! All you have to do is write here what one of the four songs on my Myspace account means to you. If you are new to my music then it can be about your impressions of a song there.

The winner will win a t-shirt of their choice from my online store! I will read all of the entries myself and personally choose the winner! The competiton will run for one week. So I will announce the winner on Wed 8th Sept.

i Choose The Song ''Rebel'' .This Song Means a Lot To Me Cause It Says How To Live Your Life Without Give A Damn About What Are The People Say Or Think About You.You Have To Live It Up As Much as You Can Before it's Too Late.You Have To Be Free And Passionate For Life,Regarding It's A Gift.We Must Think As Children And Live For The Present,Putting The Past Behind And Don't Worry too Much For The Future.Feel The Bliss And Don't Care About The Bad Things That Surround Us.

My choose is "Nothing going on"!
My interpretion for this song is:Marya has all and the best of it is not glad about and think it s not she want no "sinful" message to bring out...and its not hing for her to have all she won`t ...

Well, its not only about the competition, I think its a very interesting topic to discuss anyway :-D... But shame I have to choose just one song.. I would have to say REBEL
We all want to be rebels sometimes, to bring out the best from life, from ourselves, to "scream till our throats are sore" in orded for our voice to be heard, to use "crowd the way we please" - to make them believe in us, in what WE believe, we fight to make a change, make a difference... We have to stick to our own image and personality no matter what would other say, no matter if they would like us or not coz life's just way too short for living it in the shadows.. And fear from everything...... We just have to be ourselves and believe in things we stand for, and I know this sounds like a clishe, but it's true xD! This song also has a strong message of not selling yourself for a better life, [I don't need your money] fame [I spit on your fame] and stuff like that, you just have to run to the finish line... If there's a finish line anyway :-D Everything is possible... So, for me the three most important messages of the song are: 1. just BE yourself, 2. BELIEVE in yourself and 3. even if you're alone in it, with your heart and soul, you can win in the end :-D And yeah, noody says it easy, but it's deffinitely worth trying :-D

My choose is rebel too :-) Because im self a Rebel ;-) LOL Many peoples dont like my style or so... But I sick of they peoples! I dont hear of they. I be my self and not another and I find i can do what I want and not what they want for me. I like the song very I find the songtext great and love the music. The song rocks! And when I feel me not good I hear this song and then I feel me better as before :-) i want to write more, but my english is too bad LOL.
Ps: i find thats a very good idea with this competition.

i month ago i broke down with my girlfriend and i got really sad:-(
the good thing 4 me is that i was honest with her and everything we do together, i try to make her feel cozy and friendly with me..i was kind with her and i treat her like no one else..(as she told me);-) i was myself, i was faithful, supportive when she was facing difficult situations,problems and i let everything back just 4 her cause i loved her.

1 month ago i was really down..we broke down everything we had..my mood was something like this..:cry::crying:
then i put oh yeah in my stereo really loud and then i realized that what i am fucking doing right now?

just let me tell u that this song is my most favourite of the 4 in the list! and the reason is that this song is really hard,tough and has altitude..
Marya your voice is awesome in this song and the lyrics helped me a lot!
like: why i have to fake to be something i am not dunno... and i focus in this cause if anything happens to us we should stay ourselves and not turn in something else.. well she didnt treat me as well as i did and the song oh yeah plus maryas voice plus the drums and plus the sound of the guitar made me feel day by day stronger and stronger...:26:

My favourite is 'Nothing going on'.
The song lasted some time to get me, but one day I sat in the bus, it was night and I'm just thinking about life.
Suddenly you sang into my thoughts:

And this is where I really agreed. The people who have all great luxury in life... Nothing's going on in there life. And to have no message to sing... I think, it's the most terrible thing that could happen in life.
There must always be a motto who walk with you through life, that makes you strong and keep holding on. In good and bad times.
'Nothing going on' really keeps me holding on in life :)
But I love all your songs. We must keep on rocking!

I chose "21?!":
What comes to my mind when listening to these lyrics are emotions I feel very familiar with. Sometimes it seems like people are not understanding me just because they don't think the way I do. In some way my eyes opened up too fast, maybe ;) But on the other hand I know that I'm not grown-up yet.. Anyway I discovered a lot while I was a teenager. And it all passed by as a blink of an eye...
I love this song because I can put myself completely in this position, Marya. You might have thought different when writing these lines but that's the way I interpret this song. And I like it!

I like Rebel very much!!
I listening the Song because I havent many friends because they say my style is not good and I dont look like a "normal Girl"!
But I have my own Style I wearing what I want and I do what I want.
Many Peoples dont understand this but I think when all peoples are "normal" then it is Boring.
Also I like the Song Rebel the Text is Great and I can say Im a rebel too :-p
The Song rocks so mucht it is so fast I can listening the Song when Im Sad or angry or when everyone says stupid things to me!
I can only say I do what I want ,I wearing What I want .
I dont understand the full Lycris from Rebel but for my means the Song that Be yourself

I chose Blinded, because a lot of emotions comes up when I hear that song.
My interpretation is that it's about when you are having someone in your life, which is maybe important to you and you should follow him without questioning. But you see into this person and don't let him control you and you don't do what ever he or she wants from you.
You can't live under control from someone else and you don't be a other person your not, only because he/she wants you to be. You stay the person you are and don't be blinded even though you should be.
I really love this song and can understand every word from it!

"21?!" is special to me.
it reminds me of myself being 21 and playing with a band in los angeles. there are some parallel lines between marya's and my lives and when i listen to "21?!" i often think if marya is going through the same things i went through at this age.
i know this song has nothing to do with living in L.A. or playing in bands but "21?!" is like a codeword that sets me into my ex-world back in los angeles,it's means "remembering good old times" and i wonder if marya does the same things that i did in los angeles like shopping on melrose,cruising around hollywood blvd.,going to the clubs to see other bands,having fun at the beach,enjoying the californian sun,going to taco bell and ralph's on sunset but sure also working with the band,writing songs and lyrics,dealing with other musicians,etc.
so when i hear "21?!" it's like someone is pushing a button and i'm back in L.A. and i wanna thank marya for these little mindtrips back in time ;-)

In psychology, people are reccomended to listen song lyrics to imporve their lisening skill that most people dont posess. I did that before starting writing this. All the lyrics seem to be tought, saying how not to be like everyone else and just to be yourself. What started haunting me... was the refrain of "Oh yeah".
Why, you ask. Since i love psychology I speak with a lot of people and I see how many of them want to give up. Some of them even do. Later hateing themselves for that. People havent heard that most beautiful and positive pictures come from spending hours in dark room. So when you feel lonely on hard times you should remember that life is preparing some really beautiful picture for you. Meaning -> you should never give up because otherwise you might end up hating yourself. No matter what is the reason you want to give up - most common are fear of not succeeding and fear of being laughed at - you should follow your dreams. So this song, with lyrics "Oh yeah, I hate myself For givin’ it all up,up,up" reminds me not to give up. So i wouldnt hav to hate myself. Already Winston Churchill said: "“Never, never, never, never give up.”

I thought of this song early last week when the comp was announced then as the week went on thought better of it for various reasons.. But everytime I look at the 4 songs, that one's still calling me lol.
This song for me describes how I feel about many things to do with my life and how I've taken so much shit from them all along the way. Everytime I tell myself I'm not doing it no more and that I wont take it. but each time I do...
When I get pissed at people, I put this song on loud and sing really loud to it. So thank you marya for writing a song that could be my theme song lol

I pick Rebel, for a whole string of reasons.
As a song, it's the pure embodyment of what Metal (or Rock for that matter) is all about. It's a musical way of rebelling against "conventions", against everything society thinks you have to do, live, represent or even be. It's the very definition of my life - from a young age, I didn't agree with so many things the "adults" around me expected or thought "appropriate".
Then also I pick Rebel, because of the artist: Marya Roxx. A big part of why I'm in love with Marya as a person, as an artist and with what she represents, is that she doesn't take anybody's opinion as mandatory. She goes her way, the way she likes it. This makes Marya so attractive - she isn't a plastic puppet, she really is herself, namely a rebel, pure and simple. Every song gains (or loses) a lot from the interpretation of the artist. Marya lives and breathes the contents of this song. This makes it so much more meaningful and overpowering. It's like a fortress to me, when I doubt myself. When I listen to Rebel, it just pulls everything back into focus.
Then there's the experience of hearing Marya perform this song live - I can't wait for this in the upcoming UK Tour! It'll be like putting all these pieces I've described together!
Rebel simply fu**ing rocks!

I picked "Oh Yeah", not only because it's stood out for me from the first time I heard the EP, but also because I think that everyone can say that they've been put into situations in their life where people expect them to be fake. There can be a lot of pressure to fit and try to be the fake person that people expect you to be. It takes courage to stand up for yourself, and to be true to yourself and your dreams when there are people that try hard to encourage you to do the opposite, and so that's what "Oh Yeah" means to me.

Forget the world you’re on tonight. When I heard these words first time I didn’t understand what it means. I thought: Rebel? The title isn’t good for this song. But someday when I was listening to the song something changed. Suddenly I realized what Rebel means. The song became very important for me. I understood that inner rebel is in our souls. We live in world of madness so we have to be crazy ‘n’ wild. We should do what we want. But often we looks around and ask ourselves: what will people say?! That isn’t good. People aren’t judges of our lives. So we shouldn’t to look back on the others. Who care what the other say? They never know what is good for us. Be we know it! The song tells story about all of us. About a man who don’t want another advices of the people. The man is a rebel. Because rebel give damn world and people but want to live his own life…

I chose the song Rebel, because in me there is a rebel as well! ;)
Also I like to rock the stage with some old fuck*** good guitars.
Furthermore to get a great show and to throw your feelings outside.
The best thing in life is the music and my interpretation of this song is to show it all and just be yourself, rock the stage, give all your heart into this!
That's where we feel home, on the stage.
By the way I love your lines So Fuck The World I'm Here To Stay-Nothing Will Ever Be The Same from this song. When I hear them I think yeah we got the best rocker in the world and it's you: Marya Roxx! :-D
