I know we have a thread about whats rubbish about today and stuff but not sure we have one for just a general rant lol. Or maybe we do, I actually seem to remember starting one :hmm::roll: sorry can't find it if I did :devillaugh:

Anyway mine is being very busy multitasking, say hands soaking wet in water washing up while doing a zillion other things, for the phone to ring and have to stop all I'm doing, dry my hands and rush to the phone, befoire it goes off incase it's one of the kids and something is wrong, just to be greated by what sounds like a robot from the other end of the world or lately just a recorded message that actually think's I'm gonna listen :rant:

It's driving me insane :evil: I get more of these calls a day than I do real ones :mad:

Do you have a Do Not Call list over there? We have one where you register your phone number so that telemarketers can't call you. It doesn't stop all of the calls, but it has made things a lot better.

Deb, who is your phone provider? We are with BT and all we had to do was say that we wanted to be added to the list, we got loads of these calls when we first moved here but M called them and told them to block all those calls, they sent us some paperwork that we had to sign but it was all relatively easy.

As far as i know all the telephone companies have access to add to 'the list'

Nothing too specifically crazy at my end at the moment - well, I'll tell you a story which happened to a friend recently: he had floor heating installed only to find out, that the measuremnts were wrong and now everything has to be re-done! How crazy is that!

when i am washing my clothes(hand wash) and then someone want to get in the bathroom or when i do this and i am alone in the house and then the bell or the telephone rings and i must wash my hands and then run to pick up the phone..
mmmm what else?aaaa! when i am sleeping and my friends know that i need to sleep a lot (cause the last night we were out and we were drinking). despite this fact they insist and hit my door cause their wake up earlier.! i dont like that. deb hope i cautch the meaning of the thread! did u solve your problem with the telephone?:evil:

Last night i felt like throwing my computer, i dont know if the computer was bad or the internet connection was bad but everytime i tried to post, about half way through typing i lost the internet :rant: it seemed to wait until i started something, then stop working :bleh:

already experienced the same too many times,specially sucks when you fly to the usa and suddenly these "fake elements" don't exist anymore :shock:

I first came across it in the Bon Jovi world. I got sucked in by some girl who claimed all sorts of bollox :-( One morning I got up to tons of mails from this person saying goodbye to me as she was going to kill herself. I was really worried I had an address that I had sent her some stuff to and ended up ringing the New Jersey police. They sent someone round and then called me back to say she was fine and at home with her parents.

Now thats all well and good but she had told me and everyone else she lived alone with her daughter who she hinted many times was Richie Samboras secret love child :roll: She had also told me many many sob stories including she was a ex junkie... This is just the tip of this story as I fell for this for a long time before and even a long time after.

So to find out she was just someone living at home making up shit to fool honest people like me pissed me off :-(

To top it all she came online and had a go at me for sending the police around lol.

I guess I've been a magnet for these kind of things ever since :hmm: I'm now VERY wary and dubious of anyone who smells like an alias now. And I have had tons of experience at recognising them. You'll have to go a long way to get one past me nowdays :-p Some think they have managed to but trust me, they haven't I'm just playing them at their own game :-D

I've also came across many in the Meat Loaf World. One was once a very good freind of mine. Who managed to f*** with my head for yrs as an alias. Using what she knew about me as a friend to try to destroy me :-( I walked away from it all for a very long time as I didn't think anyone would ever believe me over this sweet and innocent school teacher type. Turns out she couldn't stop with the alias crap and many people got stung by her. Now nobody in that community beleives a word she says and 99.9% of people have nothing to do with her. So I guess karma does exist :-) Also many who didn't believe me about her back then have also been burned by her since. These people have since trned out to be some of my closest friends now :-D

There's been many more along the way unfortunately and to this day theyre still f***ing with my head :rant:

well in the past it happened a few times that people i met online seemed to be really friendly and invited me to meet them when i traveled to the states for holidays. actually it was already a little bit strange that these people didn't gave me their address or phone number,we agreed to meet each other through email directions but once there they stopped the contact,so suddenly you are in the usa but the contact is gone,i even booked a flight to someone but in vain cause i never heard of that person again.

or another case, i was supposed to arrange a date online while being in L.A. but that person didn't answer anymore until i was back in germany,then suddenly that person told me he had trouble with his internet connection,strange exactly for 3 weeks while i stayed in L.A. and it worked again the day i came back home,why didn't this person go to an internet cafe then?

or another friend that i was supposed to meet in new york,she had my address but didn't got into contact with me while being there and when i returned home she emailed me she was too busy to meet - busy 24 hours a day every day i spent there?

but of course things like that happen here in germany too here i just didn't invest much money when i travel so it's not such a big tragedy but when you fly to the states to meet your friends and pay a lot of money for the flight,etc. it's sad if you plan to meet friends and all of a sudden half of the people aren't there.

so today when i travel a long way i try to meet several friends at once knowing that some/many won't even show up so at least i meet one or two.

Sounds like we all have many really awful stories to tell - I could also go on and on, but what's the use? I've come to be convinced that there are really malicious people out there who literally enjoy making other people's lives a living hell. Sad, but unfortunately true.

Another good way to make quick money is by buyíng stuff cheaply on Ebay and selling it at a profit. For example you can get excellent i-phone covers on Ebay from Hong Kong for around 3 Euros including postage. You can sell them for much more in Austria I'm sure...

I use the best smartphone money can buy at the moment - which is the HTC Touch Pro 2. It has the advantage of a full qwerty keyboard, which the Satio is missing. Also it as a far superior screen. :-)
