View Full Version : UK Tour 2009
Ok so we've known a few hrs now, so I guess we should all be thinking of which shows we're going to and who can meet up :-D
Any ideas anyone?
Barb Rock of Ages? very close to you :-D Same for you and M Anji? :-D for starters anyway :hehe:
Kat, Bristol and any others I can kidnap you for :-D  and don't be telling me, you're going to be in Spain for your birthday :-(
Heather, I know there's not much chance of getting definites from you yet lol.
I want to ask what is better. We want to the Marya Roxx Concert in Leicester but we dont know what is better. With the airplane to London and then the traîn or with the airplane of Birnigham and then with the train. Whats better?
hello honey! i plan to come in the show in november 22 in london! or in 5 of december! i am so excited right now!
i can't promise anything right now, first i need to check where which cities are and then if i can survive the weather in the UK during nov/dec ;-)
by the way any other germans who wanna to go to the UK-tour?
frankie it would be great to see you and any other Germans here :-) And don't worry you're fleece will keep you warm, if you haven't worn it out by then

is there are reason you guys want leicester?? is the date better? Well off the top of my head...Birmingham is alot closer to leicester than london is, so Birmingham would be better i think, but i dont know anything about the airport, i think Deb may know more than me on this :hmm: i'll look into it if not, we'll get back to you on this Rebi :-)
btw great to hear that you may be coming :hugs:

Rebi what airport would you be flying from? Basel?
well i will have to check dates but london is almost definate,
Brighton, possibly as that will be Tony's local gig.
not sure bout any others yet but as i say, will have to check dates and how they fit around my studio training and how many babysitter credits i'm allowed :-)

You must have loads, you haven't been out in a while :-D
i'm not the one that needs convincing :haha: i mentioned it to my mum earlier today and got a mute response so think i may be relying on M being a fabulous partner :-D
:hmm: to first part lol
:-D I would have thought with M's reaction to the album he;d have wanted to come to at least one himself :-D
I'm on a mission for all 4 of my kids to go to at least on show and to take their friends :-D Dave and his friend Paul will come to at least one as well
will john, paul and danny be there too? does anybody know yet?
i still haven't found all the cities on the map,so there's still a very small hope that one of the gigs is near my hometown, hahahahaha
Rebi and Anastacia
You can fly from Geneva to east Midlands airport on the 24th and go back on the 25th of Nov for CHF 222.92 for both of you. East Midlands airport is about 20 mins away from Sumo. The flight out is at 10.15am but the flight back leaves at 7am. I guess going staright to the airport after the show would be the best option lol.

In spoke to Barb earlier today and she said that London and Brighton sounded good for her as well
What airports are near you again? there's a few isnt there?
well the airport münster/osnabrück is right in my hometown,so it would be great to fly from there
airport düsseldorf would be another possibility
but i wonder do i need to rent a car? i also would like to do at least 2 shows once i come if not more :-D
You could get a flight from Dusseldorf to Birmingham on the 24th and back again on 26th, both flights are good times. The show the next day isn't too far from there. A car would possibly be the better option as public transport isn't cheap and a car is pretty cheap to hire I think. The cost of them flights are £80 :-)

Thank you very mtch, but we come to the concert at the 22th novemer in London and then we go to the concert at 24th november :-D :-p Thats very cool :-)
Cool :-) you do know London isn't near Birmingham right? :-) and have you checked both allow under 18's as the 24th is a club. If I remember rightly Rock of ages (the London one) let 17yr olds last time. I'll check :-)
I dont know how old you must be to go to this bar. I havent found it. But I hope it goes with 17 LOL xD i want to see 2 concerts :-)
Usually It's 18 here or some even 21 :-(
Hellfire Festival on the 7th is now an all ages event :-)

As I'm in the process of moving, I'm a bit pushed for time, but as always: I will come to as many shows as is possible. I'll just need to check dates. If there's a possibility to stay with a UK fan who lives near one of the venues, that'd be appreciated, of course. But I need to check the dates as soon as I get around to it in this mayhem!

I have write a mail to the sumo bar and have ask how old I must be to going in :-D Hope I can with 17 go to look :-p :-)

well i was just thinking i would give that one a miss :-p
what what what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what what what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lmao, when you get time to chat, call me!! We need to arrange stuff!!
what's the cheapest way to get to one of the concerts from austria? flight, busses there, etc.? Not every venue will be near the airport i fear... and what about the entrance prices at the concerts, festivals are more expensive, aren't they? i'm just looking for the cheapest way to see marya in the uk :)
i think the cheapest way is to get one of these real cheal flights (like ryan air) and then chose the destination that is nearest to one of the shows and take a bus from the airport to the club
so ryan air is the cheapest?
ryan air is famous for being cheap but maybe others are also cheap, check it out online or to say it with marya's words "check out" :-D
Nicola, if you let us know which dates you might be able to make, we can look at travel a bit better then, it's hard to tell you the easiest way without knowing which shows you are looking at.
Nicola, Ryanair is the cheapest, but the airports are notoriously in the middle of knowhere. So not always the best option in the long run :-) But they're good if you manage to get the right one and it works with all your plans.
Is our country the only one that has a budget airline like ryanair? do any of your countries have an equivilant?
bloodflowerz

Well from Switzerland the cheapest is usually Easyjet, but lately Swiss and also AirBerlin have had even cheaper fares than Easyjet. I'm just in the process of finding out as I'll be planning my trip soon. I'm just not sure about the tickets for Marya's shows - Deb, maybe you can enlighten me about this?
Tickets depend on venues Bloodflowerz. Lots of them can be bought on the door, others may need buying in advance such as the 3 festivals. Which ever you decide let me know and I'll let you know the best way. If anyone has a problem with buying from their Country I can do it from here for you. I'm pretty sure it also has all ticket info on Marya's website. But there are other ways of buying the tickets than the ones the venues recommend, so let me know when you decide :-)
Just remember anyone planning a trip here. That Stanstead and Luton are NOT technically London. Just as Dusseldorf Weeze Isn't dusseldorf lol. Luton is possibley the better of the two. That doesnt mean don;t go for these ariports if the deal is good, just bear in mind they aren't right in london. But then again neither is Heathrow or Gatwick.
Bristol has an airport for Bristol show.
Birmingham has one, but this isn't that close to the Dudley show, the airport is at the NEC, so this would be close to the Hellfire show. There is also East Midlands airport which is close to a few of the Northern shows. But would need a car imo.
All that just to complicate things even more lol :devillaugh:
Deb = The walking talking equivalent of a sat nav with ticketmaster programmed in lol
LOLOLOL M :-) Just as long as it's not our old sat nav ey ;-) :devillaugh:
pmsl, forgot about that!!!!
lmao it certainly made the evening an eventful one :haha:

Well at the moment, according to my research, the cheapest flights are all with Easyjet and go to London-Luton. I'll give you the definite dates asap, Deb.
london-luton isnt the worst place for the london gig, i think, there is a coach that goes directly from the airport into the centre of london so you should be able to just take the underground to the gig, i think Deb just didnt want you to think it was actually in london
bloodflowerz
06-09-2009, 22:45
Coming from Switzerland that really is by far the cheapest option. Heathrow is double (!) the cost!
I'm pretty sure there is a train from Luton to London. (Not from Stansted though, only a coach) So If I had the choice, Luton would be the better, luckily for you that is the option you have lol. But yep, let us know the definite dated when you decide :-)

Rebi and me want at the Concert in Peterborough its at the 27 November.
Is there a airport ? Or train station ? Deb can you look for us ?? We want from switzerland to Peterborough. We want back at the next day and want coming at the same day.
Can we buy tickets there ?
Thats great news :woot: No airport unfortunately but i'll look into trains / buses for you to get you to an airport. Plus planes... bbs with the info :-p
and yes you can buy tickets there for this one :-)
ok....
With the dates you want to fly I can't find much. But you can fly from Zurich to Luton on 27th.
dep. 11:25, arr. 12:10
CHF 49.95
There seems to be trains from Luton to Peterborough, but not direct.
http://www.raileasy.co.uk/
You need to put in Luton Airport Parkway for departing and Peterborough for travelling to. For time put at least after 13pm on 27th and put one way. Also don't choose first class ticket lol. Our trains are VERY expensive if you don;t book a long way in advance. Choose cheapest. It then comes up with a list of trains but doesn't give you prices or availabilty. Not sure why but I'll look into it, but at least there is trains by the looks of it. The
OR: If you can fly on the 26th at 13:55 from Basel the flight is only 16chf for 2!
Coming back there is a plane from Stansted to Basel at 11.20am This costs 169.74CHF for two.
From Stansted there are trains to Peterborough
http://ojp.nationalrail.co.uk
You need to allow a bit after flight for times going to peterborough and to get there at least 2hrs before the flight going back. Let me know which airports you can fly from.
Any of these any use?
Have another plan lol
Geneva to East Midlands on the 27th for CHF 37.95 dep. 10:15, arr. 10:55
Gives you plenty of time to get from there to Peterborough.
Found you trains for £41 each one way. Sounds a lot but is actually good for us lol and the flights cheap so offsets it a bit.
http://www.buytickets.eastmidlandstrains.co.uk/Default.aspx?base
Coming back there is a flight from heathrow at 15.05pm for £56 with BA. Anji is going back home that day and has kindly said she will get you to Heathrow for then :-) Let me know if this option is any good for you :-)
going back.... from Heathrow to Zurich at 15.40pm. £55. Anji can get you to airport :-)
There is nothing from Zurich on 27th that will get you to peterborough in time. So looks like you'll have to do geneva to east Midlands going... Found you a hotel for £49 (for 2) near venue as well :-)
Just to confuse you more :-p
Flight from zurich (which is best for you right?) on 27th to Luton arrives at 12.10 for £30 each. Train is £32 to Peterborough with 2 changes and takes just under 2hrs.
Hotel £49 for both
Flight back Heathrow to Zurich £55 with ANji getting you there :-D
Think this is the better option of Zurich is best airport for you :-)
http://www.easyjet.com Zurich to Luton on 27th dep. 11:25, arr. 12:10: CHF 49.95
Then get the number 100 Arriva bus outside the airport to Hitchin at 13.28pm which arrives in Hitchin at 13.49pm - £3.40 each.
Then a train from there to Peterborough for £19.80
Train: http://www.thetrainline.com
Hitchin to Peterborough at 14.17pm arriving in Peterborough at 15.05pm.
The hotel is £49 for two.
Anji can take you back to Heathrow on the 28th to get a flight at 15:40- 18:20 to Zurich for £55
Which all comes to about 219.25chfs each :-)
Let me know if you want me to book all this for you.
ok thats good ideas. I think tha last one is good :-) :-) Cant wait and thank you to Anji and deb xD
I'm so glad Deb found a good way for you guys to get there :-D I wish i could've helped with the journey to the show too but i'll already be there as i'm at the show the night before, but i'm looking forward to seeing you two
Anastasia
11-10-2009, 12:11
Deb can you book it for us ? But when can we send you the money ?
Yes of course i'll book it for you. If you go on msn so I can get details for flights... or email / pm me them..
